Madonna is set to perform in Abu Dhabi for the first time later this year.

People could be planning to take flights to Abu Dhabi later this year in order to see Madonna performing live in the city.

Fresh from her show-stopping performance at the American Super Bowl over the weekend the megastar has announced she is to tour the world during the summer months and Abu Dhabi will be one of the places she performs.

The Like a Prayer singer will be performing at the Yas Island venue on June 3rd, with 50,000 fans expected to attend from across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and beyond.

Tickets for the show will go on sale on February 27th and will be priced from 350 UAE dirhams (£60).

This announcement comes ahead of the launch of her new album MDNA, which is due to be released on March 26th.

Many more famous names could be planning to take flights to Abu Dhabi in the coming years, as the state has recently announced plans to carry out major works on improving its airport.
