Jet Airways, one of India’s biggest international carriers, has been given an award by readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine.

A poll was carried out by the magazine, with the awards being presented at a ceremony in New York.

Jet was given the accolade of one of the top three airlines in the world and the company’s chairman Naresh Goyal said he was thrilled with the result.

“It is extremely gratifying that our dedication to quality and excellence has been recognised so early. We will continue to devote all our energies to exceeding expectations and ensuring the best travel experience for all passengers,” he commented.

Jet Airways was also presented with an award for second best airline in the world recently by Which? magazine.

Meanwhile, a survey carried out earlier this month by online community website Tripadvisor saw Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Air France all score highly in a poll to discover the world’s best airlines as voted for by passengers.
