A Walk of Fame, featuring some of India’s biggest stars, is to be revealed in Mumbai.

A Walk of Fame dedicated to the biggest stars in India is to be unveiled in Mumbai later this month.

The UTV Stars strip is to be revealed on March 28th 2012 and will allow fans of Bollywood and the country’s huge music and TV industry to get a chance to spot the names of their favourite celebrities.

Located on the Bandra Bandstand Promenade in Mumbai, the Walk of the Stars is two kilometres long.

The promenade is already a very popular place to visit in the city and an amphitheatre serves as the venue of the Mumbai Festival each year.

It will feature some of the handprints and signatures of the nation’s most popular names cast in brass, with Kareena Kapoor, Meena Kumari and Shabana Azmi stars who have already had their plaques made.

Along the walk a number of benches have also been created which will have life-size statues of stars including Dev Anand and Amitabh Bachchan sitting on them.
