The exciting Indian Premier League Cricket season is set to begin in the coming days.

The most exciting event in Indian cricket is set to begin next month with the return of the Premier League season.

Cricket is one of the most popular sports in India and the start of the new season on April 4th will see fans packing in to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to see local team the Chennai Super Kings take on the Mumbai Indians.

The team is likely to be one of the hot favourites to win this tournament, as the Super Kings have won for the past two years, beating the Royal Challengers Bangalore into second place during 2011.

Games will be played between the nation’s biggest clubs through to May 20th, with the final taking place on May 27th at the venue in Chennai.

Tickets for the games are priced from 1,200 Indian rupees (£14.70) for the standard matches, while the prices for the final rounds have yet to be announced.
