Delhi is to host a festival that is dedicated to celebrating the art and culture of the Buddhist faith.

Delhi is to host an international event that will celebrate the arts and culture that has emerged around the Buddhist faith.

The event will see a number of different art exhibitions and film screenings taking place, with artists from countries around the world set to participate.

It opens in the city today (April 27th) and will run through to May 1st.

Buddhism is an important faith in several different countries across Asia, with China, Japan and Sri Lanka all having high numbers of devotees.

“The idea of organising a Buddhist film festival in India is an attempt to link this profound knowledge of Indian heritage to the rest of the world,” said film maker and art historian Binoy K Behl.

He will be showcasing his documentary The Story of Buddhism at the event.

Delhi is home to the Buddha Vihara temple, which is one of the most sacred sites for followers of the faith in the city.
