Tourists landing up in Delhi after taking flights to India will soon be able to travel to city of Taj, Agra, on a helicopter. The authorities have decided to start chopper services from Delhi to cities like Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan

Time pressed travellers taking Delhi bound flights to India will shortly be able to make use of helicopter services to travel from Delhi to Agra, the city of Taj Mahal!

In an endeavour to boost tour and travel sector in the region, the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation is looking forward to connect the most popular tourist destinations in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with the National Capital, Delhi.

Besides world renowned city of Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan are being considered for the helicopter connection. These places rank high on pilgrimage tourism not only in the state but also in the whole country.

With Agra gearing up for a brand new international air terminal at Dhanauli, the proposed chopper service is likely to be a hit among tourists.

Agra’s Taj Mahal remains the most tempting holiday attraction for most vacationers who haggle hard for deals on cheap flights to India. To envisage an India travel itinerary without a visit to the world-famous landmark is actually implausible. On the other hand, Delhi airport is the country’s biggest gateway, and a faster link between the capital city and the city of Taj is sure to lure leisure travellers.

Sources reveal that authorities have conducted necessary meetings with the parties involved and that three proposed locations for helipads at Vrindavan have been identified. The services are likely to begin within a month; however there is no indication about the price of the ticket.

The helicopter service, be it a cheap flight or not, is sure to benefit holiday makers desirous of exploring Agra’s Taj – India’s most prominent jewel, as well as those who seek spiritual pursuits in Mathura and Vrindavan; especially tourists grabbing airline tickets to Delhi who are hard-pressed for time will find the service highly useful.
