Most people going on holiday would hate to forget their camera, a new survey has revealed.

According to a poll carried out by Holiday Extras – which provides a checklist service to assist with holiday planning – 40.1 per cent of people would be upset if they went away without it, followed by the 29.8 per cent who would feel lost if they forgot their mobile phones.

Some 17 per cent said it would be a disaster if they forgot their swimsuit and 13 per cent would hate to leave their sunglasses behind.

Mike Whiting, managing editor for Holiday Extras, said: “Replacing your camera or phone abroad is not so easy. Our cameras are important to record our treasured holiday moments.”

Anyone who thoroughly intends to remember their swimsuit for a beach break could book holidays to India.

The country’s High Commission states that it has the most “mind-boggling” beaches anywhere in the world and provides something for everyone.
