Halifex Pop Explosion, Canada
One of Canada’s hottest annual festivals, Halifex Pop Explosion is a celebration of new and emerging music, arts and culture. Featuring local and international talent from far and wide, the festival is your chance to get in on the happening music scene on Canada’s East coast. Presenting a great chance to budding musicians, the festival also hosts networking events and a music industry conference. To be held from October 17- 20 in 2018, the Halifex Pop Explosion is set to host Zola Jesus, Born Ruffians, CupcakKe, Cadence Weapon, Sean Leon, Reuben and the Dark, Helena Deland, Fat Tony and Apple Cat this year.
Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinéma
An annual conglomeration of cinema lovers in Montreal, the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma has reached its 47th edition in 2018. The festival will be held from October 3 to 14 and showcase brilliant short and feature films, discussions, meetings and sharing sessions over the course of the said 11 days. Whether you are someone who devours films from around the globe, made in different formats and catering to a spectrum of audiences or someone interested in usage of new technologies in cinema such as 3D, VOD – Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinéma has enough fodder to pick your brains and to provide amusing times.
Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany
Bibliophiles of the world and all their friends know that Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest and the grandest book fair in the world in terms of the publishing companies represented and the number of visitors attending the event. To be conducted from 10 Oct 2018 – 14 Oct 2018, the first three days of the festival have a restricted entry for businesses whereas the weekend is when the general public gets the access to exhibits by over 7,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries. Following a tradition that started back in 1976, the book fair will lay special emphasis on the Georgian Literature this year. Watch out for the country’s special exhibition stall.
Rocking the Daisies, South Africa
The fans of EDM and rocking Indie wouldn’t like to miss Rocking the Daisies in Darling, South Africa. Hosted at a picturesque location in the Western Cape winelands, an hour north of Cape Town, the festival has a laid-back vibe that contrasts efficiently with the foot-thumping beats that emanate from a total of 9 festival stages. Sports enthusiast can exercise their muscles on “Walking the Daisies” and “Cycling the Daisies” events. The festival will be held from 5-7 Oct in 2018.
