A new survey has concluded that Thailand is home to the world’s best hostel.
The Baan Dinso hostel in Bangkok was named as the top establishment – it is the second year in a row that the Thai hostel has picked up the award, beating off competition from hostels in the US, Japan and Luxembourg.
Baan Dinso was praised for its good levels of service and helpful staff as well as its comfort and cleanliness. The hostel was also named as one of the top ten hotels in Bangkok by Hostelworld in 2009.
HI has over 4,000 hostels in 90 countries in its network and gathers reviews from travellers on its website so that people taking flights to Thailand and other destinations can fully research their accommodation options before jetting off.
