Thailand is among the countries that still offers tourists good value for money, according to one travel expert.
People booking flights to Thailand or countries such as South Africa or Egypt could be in luck as tourists can still get value for money in these destinations, it has been claimed.
Bob Atkinson, a travel expert at travelsupermarket.com, explained that people booking holidays outside the eurozone are likely to get more for their money this year.
“The good value destinations at the moment […] are in the non-eurozone, places like Egypt,” he said.
Mr Atkinson also described Thailand and South Africa as “great value”.
Research carried out by Skyscanner last month revealed that Bangkok was one of the most searched-for long-haul destinations on its website.
According to the organisation, the Thai capital was the eleventh most-popular destination in its list.
Sharm el Sheikh, Dubai, Sydney and Delhi were other mid and long-haul destinations that featured in the top 50.
Mr Atkinson pointed out that destinations in Egypt and cities such as Dubai are becoming more accessible to British holidaymakers as airlines offer an increasing number of cheap flights to the countries.
