Visitors to a Thai spa resort can choose a range of treatments as well as learning the skills of the resident masseuses.

A luxury spa resort has launched a special deal to market its 10th birthday, in a bid to attract more Brits on flights to Thailand.

Banyan Tree Spa Academy in Phuket is an award-winning resort and the new Touch of Wellness deal includes a choice of seven massage and treatment courses.

Guests can choose from foot relief, face and head massages, and back massages, or courses on how to massage your parent, massaging your child, self massage and beauty basics.

These two-hour sessions are available for just 2,000 baht (£40) each, while guests staying at the resort can also enjoy a wide range of facilities, including a choice of five gourmet restaurants or a relaxing drink at the pool bar.

Accommodation is offered in the form of Thai-style villas with private gardens, while guests can venture out to nearby resort town of Phuket to explore the Andaman coast.
