A new hotel and resort is set to open in Naithon Beach in Phuket, Thailand.

Hotel Indigo, part of International Hotels Group, confirmed the property will be open by the start in June 2014.

Located around 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, the new hotel could appeal to those looking to take flights to Thailand and reduce travelling time.

It is the second property in Thailand for Hotel Indigo, with its first, the Hotel Indigo on Wireless Road, Bangkok, set to open before the end of next year.

The Naithon Brach resort will offer 120 rooms as well as 15 villas, a spa and a swimming pool.

Jan Smits, managing director of Intercontinental Hotels Group Australasia, said: “We have no doubt that Hotel Indigo Phuket Naithon Beach Resort, through its personal service and design influenced by local surroundings, will offer visitors a distinctive resort experience.”

Hotel Indigo specialises in providing boutique-style accommodations in central areas close to restaurants and key entertainment facilities.
