Carlson has announced the opening of its second hotel in the Thai capital.

British travellers on flights to Thailand now have yet another accommodation option, as Carlson has announced the opening of the new Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18.

This contemporary-designed hotel is conveniently located near the city’s entertainment and shopping district, Sukhumvit, with great transports links on the Bangkok Mass Transit System.

Carlson’s other Park Plaza Bangkok hotel in Sukhumvit has consistently received strong feedback on Trip Advisor, so its was a logical move to expand, said Simon C. Barlow, Asia Pacific president of Carlson.

“The Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18 hotel will deliver the same warm, engaging, smart and spirited service that guests have come to expect of the Park Plaza brand,” he added.

Tech-savvy guests will feel right at home in the hotel’s 125 rooms, all of which feature complimentary wireless internet, and an iPod and iPhone multi-port media hub.

Furthermore, the hotel’s all-day restaurant boasts a range of Western grill dishes, local Thai delights and specialty Mediterranean tapas.

The Park Plaza Soi 18 will have competition however, as St Regis has also recently opened a new hotel in Bangkok.
