American star Usher is currently on tour in South Africa and has announced plans to do charity work in the country.

Music fans in South Africa are currently heading out to see American singer Usher on tour in the country.

The chart-topping star, who first shot to fame with the track You Make Me Wanna in 1997, is stopping off in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town to perform shows for his legions of fans in each of the cities to promote his latest album Versus.

However, even those who do not go to see his shows could find they are seeing a lot more of him in the country in the future, as he has announced his New Look Foundation will be joining forces with native charity the Tim Tebeila Foundation to work with young people across South Africa.

“It is by refocusing the youth to opportunities available to them in life that they can develop and make decisions about career choices available,” Usher said at an event to mark the launch of the partnership.
