South African safari fans have been advised to discover an award-winning five-star spa resort.
A top South African spa has been honoured at the recent Good Safari Guide annual awards ceremony, taking the Best Safari Spa in Africa prize.
Karloof Spa is a five-star wellness and wildlife retreat, which is located just 24km from Pietermaritzburg, offering a convenient wilderness escape for Brits arriving on flights to South Africa.
Accommodation is provided in the form of 16 individual air-conditioned villas, while all the food on offer is organic and the resort specialises in Raw Food Cuisine.
In terms of spa pampering, there are 17 treatment rooms offering a range of manicures, pedicures and flotation therapies, or you can just relax in the open-air Jacuzzi.
When it comes to safari, there are 3,500 hectares of game land to explore, including five waterfalls.
Other South African resorts that were nominated for the Good Safari Guide Spa Award include Singita Game Reserves, Royal Malewane and Pondoro Game Lodge.
