The property market in South Africa is likely to see a strong increase in 2013, something which may prompt more people to purchase properties in the country.
The popularity of buying a home in South Africa could be set to increase during the coming months, as one expert on the housing industry in the country has predicted the property market will improve in 2013.
Darren McDermott, director of Spacesa.com, explained the market has seen a relatively flat level of growth since 2008, when it hit its peak.
He said that areas with real value are found along the country’s coastline.
When compared with the same sort of houses that are available in the Mediterranean, he said there are some good deals to be found.
“Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town is the most popular area, also for property with larger gardens and a more woodland feel, clients like southern suburbs – such as Constantia,” Mr McDermott added.
The Atlantic Seaboard region is home to a number of larger towns and popular tourist destinations, including Clifton and Bantry Bay.
