Take a trip to Seaview Lion Park and watch the rare white lions.

The Seaview Lion Park can be found on the Eastern Cape’s Sunshine Coast, just a short drive west of Port Elizabeth.

Spread across 120 acres, this offers visitors one of the best opportunities anywhere in South Africa to study the king of the jungle up close.

These lions can be viewed in the bush and grassland and visitors will able to catch glimpses of the big cats as they go about their various daily tasks.

The park’s breeding project means you’ll be able to see lion cubs, while there are also tigers, caracals, leopards and many other animals living in the sanctuary.

Free roaming animals at the park include giraffes, wildebeest, impala, zebras, monkeys, mongoose, genet cats and tortoises, among many others.

However, the lions are definitely the stars of the show, particularly the majestic and rare white lions, with their impressive manes.

Last October, the park welcomed a new litter of lion cubs – Josh, Jason, Joseph and Judith – and you’ll be able to watch them at the park, while also reading up on their progress on the Seaview website.
