Cape Town International has been named as the best airport in Africa.

Cape Town International has been named as the best airport in Africa at the Skytrax World Airports Awards.

The awards consider the best airports around the world and give prizes based on a number of categories, including those across countries and continents, as well as by size.

The event in Vienna was a very successful evening for the airport and its staff, as it was also awarded the prize for staff service excellence.

It is the fourth time the airport, which is the third largest in Africa, has won the award for being the best on the continent, as it was previously given the prize in 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Deon Cloete, general manager of the Airports Company SA, said the awards were testament to the “collective effort of all the good men and women serving at (the airport)”.

The airport boasts a wide range of facilities and stores, selling everything from the latest electrical goods and fashions through to traditional African crafts.
