A retrospective art show is to open in Johannesburg this month.

A retrospective art exhibition on the works from the Artist Proof Studios (APS) is to open in Johannesburg this month.

The Coming of Age show will begin on May 6th at the Johannesburg Art Gallery (JAG) and is set to showcase some of the talented artists that have worked in the studio over the past 21 years.

They will also be joined by a number of other artists who have helped to support the studio over the past two decades.

Among the names set to go on show are Diane Victor, Wim Botha and Norman Catherine, who will all be producing new editions of their works for the show.

A special lecture will be given by renowned South African artist William Kentridge to mark the first day of the exhibition.

When the showcase closes the following month it will be shipped off to the Tufts University Art Gallery in the US, where it will go on display again as part of a special exhibition.
