The newest travel category offered by the airline is slowly but steadily gaining momentum in India’s aviation sector, revealed online sources.
Placed rightly amid economy and business class tickets as far as the price and comfort is concerned, it is fast becoming a product type of choice for both business and leisure travellers taking long haul routes of more than 5 hours like the one to India.
Besides Cathay Pacific, there are many other carriers offering tickets for premium economy seats on their long-haul flights to various destinations in India. Virgin Atlantic and British airways are just two of such airlines that are offering this travel category on their India services.
Richard Branson promoted Virgin Atlantic offers tickets for premium economy. It has been one of the most popular products on India-London and India-Newark flights operated by the carrier.
Premier British carrier, British Airways also offers flights tickets for the newest travel category to its passengers, who book tickets with the airline to treat themselves to a little extra luxury aboard their long-haul flights to select destinations in India and other exotic hotspots.
With new cabin class tickets on offer, global carriers expect to address a niche market of a large segment of frequent flyers who remain desirous of better services and facilities but can’t afford price as high as business class.
