Axis Bank has launched a travel card for visitors to India.

People booking flights to India will soon be able to take advantage of a bank travel card.

Axis Bank, the country’s third-largest private bank, has launched the new product to make it easier for visitors to manage their finances on holiday.

The India Travel Card will initially be available at a number of the bank’s branches in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. It will also be offered at select money changers in these cities.

Benefits of the new card include reduced dependence on carrying cash around and having to pay out exchange fees on debit or credit cards.

It also helps users avoid currency fluctuations.

P Mukherjee, president of the Treasury and International Banking at Axis Bank, said: “Axis Bank, as a total solutions bank, endeavours to introduce new and innovative products for its customers.

“We are proud to have introduced this unique payment solution for foreign nationals and NRIs visiting India.”
