India has been hailed as a holiday destination suitable for everyone by a travel writer based in the south Asian country.

Rohan Arora, writing for the American Chronicle, said that India is a country of extremes and has been the answer to many people’s quest for peace of mind.

He commented that the Himalayas are great for both adventure-seekers and the spiritual, while nature parks offer excellent opportunities for watching wildlife.

“Nothing soothes a stressed mind [more] than the magnificence of nature. The natural beauty of this amazingly diverse country has the power to mesmerise any tourist,” Mr Arora said.

Anyone heading on holidays to India and in particular the beach resort of Goa, may be interested to know that the period between October and March is generally regarded as the best time to visit.

Many people choose to visit over Christmas as the water is still warm enough to swim in and the climate is mild.
