Anyone looking for a half term trip that will not break the bank should consider booking holidays to Egypt, one travel journalist has advised.
Booking holidays to Egypt this half term could be a great way to get some sunshine and save some money, according to one travel journalist.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Nick Trend noted that holidays to the Red Sea Riviera are among some of the best value on offer for a way to escape the British winter.
“There is more availability to the Red Sea coast than to any other sun and sand destination this half term,” he explained.
Mr Trend also pointed out that the relatively short flight, “virtually guaranteed” weather and value for money make it a good choice for families this year.
Another destination that could appeal to anyone who wants to get away in February is Dubai, he stated.
With many hotels reducing room rates in the face of increased competition, the longer flight could be worth it, Mr Trend added.
Figures released in the annual Post Office Travel Services Holiday Money Report revealed that Dubai and Egypt are both among the best value destinations for Brits due to the exchange rate between the pound and their respective currencies.
