Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has said he plans to move his whole family to the Emirates, in what may be good news for people going on holidays to Dubai.

The television regular said he enjoyed his visits to the city so much that he will relocate there by 2013.

“I’m going to move to Dubai full-time in five years. That’s my ambition,” he commented to the Daily Mail.

“Dubai is booming now. There’s a real buzz about Dubai. I’m proud to be a part of it,” he added.

The chef has not yet said if he intends to open a restaurant there.

If Ramsay does get his wish, he will be in good celebrity company – his friend David Beckham already owns a property out there, as does former England striker Michael Owen.

However, he may wish to cut down on his cursing – swearing in public is illegal in Dubai and could result in a jail sentence.
