Tottenham Hotspur are taking flights to Dubai to escape their recent form in the UK.

The team will spend the next week training in the state during their mid-season break before heading back to the UK in time for their March 6th fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Michael Dawson, the team’s captain, explained the squad wants to refocus after losing 2-1 to Blackpool at the start of the week.

He explained: “We had all the chances but they created four or five opportunities and scored three goals.

“We’ve got 10 days now to think about it and as players you look at performances and results – but we’ve got to move on. It was a disappointing night, but credit to Blackpool.”

The club are currently fourth in the Barclays Premiership, ten points behind leaders Manchester United.
