Mercedeh Sanati suggests some highlights that visitors should not miss, including an unusual dining experience.

Firstly, the reporter recommends a trip to Nad Al Sheba, the official racetrack of the Dubai Racing Club, where there are six or more races per night from November to March and admission to the public is free.

For a bite to eat, she suggests Al Mahara restaurant within the Burj Al Arab hotel, which is submerged and reached by a submarine elevator.

Finally, Ms Sanati states that tourists should not miss the city’s designer shopping experience, with 31 malls offering everything from Banana Republic to Louis Vuitton.

“Dubai is a frenetic and futuristic metropolis that is expanding at a breathless pace,” she comments.

Earlier this month, officials in Dubai said the amount of accommodation in the city will increase by 93,900 hotel rooms and apartments in seven years, reported the Travel Trade Gazette.
