Emirates airline has announced plans to add additional flights to Dubai from Manchester.

The carrier is to offer travellers a third direct flight from the start of May, which represents a 25 per cent increase in capacity for the airline.

An Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with three different onboard classes, will be used on the new service.

Emirates’ vice-president UK and Ireland, Laurie Berryman, said: “With the launch of a third daily flight, we’ve got Manchester covered morning, noon and night, offering business and leisure travellers from the region an incredible choice of travel options to destinations across the globe.”

The new flight will leave Manchester at 09.40 each day and will provide onward connections for those travelling to other destinations in Thailand and India.

Meanwhile, Emirates has announced that it plans to increase flights to Dubai from the Seychelles by the end of the year.
