The Dubai World Cup is to be held at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse and is sure to attract some of the best jockeys and trainers in the business, What’s on When reports.

It has a prize fund of $6 million (£4.21 million), with $3.6 million going to the lucky winner of the race.

For visitors, the racecourse is luxurious, with television screens to ensure that none of the action is missed, as well as great floodlighting.

Access is free to public areas, or by barcoded ticket to the International Village.

Situated ten minutes by car from Dubai city centre, the Nad Al Sheba track was laid down in 1986, with the grandstand following in 1988.

The venue held its first race meeting in 1992.
