Dubai has been named as the best place to live in the Middle East by Saneou Al Hadath.

Dubai has been named as the best place to live in the Middle East in an annual study of the region.

Regional business magazine Saneou Al Hadath carries out a study of the region each March and this month has stated that Dubai is the best place to live across the Middle East and north Africa.

It is the third consecutive year that the emirate has come top of this poll, finishing ahead of 18 other cities across the area.

Dubai came just ahead of Abu Dhabi, with the two locations considered to have equally high standards social and economic conditions.

“Gulf countries still lead the first ranks in most of the indicators addressed in the study,” commented Osama Al Renna, managing editor of Saneou Al Hadath.

The appeal of Dubai also seems to be attracting more tourists to spend time in the region, as the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing announced a ten per cent rise in hotel stays during 2011.
