A holiday to Dubai would be ideal for all age groups thanks to its interesting array of activities.

This is according to director of the government of Dubai’s department of tourism and commerce marketing Ian Scott, who pointed out that the Emirate’s great weather, beautiful beaches and safe environment mean it is the perfect destination for families.

He added that many families now go to Dubai to participate in safaris, with the desert landscape making the ideal setting for such trips.

However, at the other end of the scale, Dubai also houses the world’s third largest indoor ski slope for those who prefer the chill factor.

“The scope of activities and new developments is truly awe-inspiring and continues to entice a growing number of international visitors on family holidays,” said Mr Scott.

This was backed up recently by M&S Money, which announced that over £1 million worth of Dubai’s currency (the dirham) was sold during October, the highest amount ever.
