Divers from around the world are travelling to Dubai in order to take part in the FINA/Midea Diving World Series.

Divers from around the world are travelling to Dubai ahead of this weekend’s FINA/Midea Diving World Series.

Taking place at the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Sports Complex, some of the most talented divers have been spending the past couple of days getting used to the conditions in the area ahead of the competition.

Ahmed al Falasi, president of the United Arab Emirates Swimming Federation, said the group is very excited to have so many talented divers taking part in the first event in their sport ever to take place in Dubai.

“The standard of diving is world class and the crowd will be treated to some amazing displays of talent and skill,” Mr al Falasi added.

Tickets for the events are available from 40 United Arab Emirates dirhams (£6.90) and can be purchased at the venue.

Competitors taking part in the event include British Olympic hopeful Tom Daley, who will be taking part in the ten metre platform and synchronised ten metres platform.
