People looking for flights to Dubai may find their search a little easier following an announcement by Austrian Airlines.

The carrier has said that as of March 1st this year, it will expand its seating capacity on flights to the emirate city by as much as 20 per cent.

This is due to the introduction of a new Boeing 767 with 235 seats, compared to the 193 seats that were available on the Airbus used previously.

It will be used on over half the flights to Dubai, a spokesperson said.

“For passengers the introduction of the Boeing 767 doesn’t just mean more supply; it also means a significantly higher level of comfort,” the source added.

To coincide with the introduction, Austrian will run promotions on airfares between March and the end of June on its Economy return tickets.

Austrian Airlines was established in 1957 and currently offers services to over 130 destinations worldwide.
