A spa in Bangkok is inviting travellers to receive special therapies designed to combat the traditional stresses of the festive period.Chi, the spa at Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, is offering guests a 150-minute ritual which involves message, aromatherapy, thermal and herbal treatments, reports the Bangkok Post.

A range of products is used in the treatment including Thai white clay, vitamin E-rich honey, sesame seeds, milk and jasmine rice.

Chi was voted one of the world top ten hotel spas in Asia in 2010 by the Leisure Magazine, Southeast Asia and in 2009 was voted one of the globe’s sexist spas by Spafinder.com.

The five-star Shangri-La Hotel is in the Silom district of Bangkok and has 799 rooms including 52 luxury suites.

It is also located close to the Saphan Taksin of Bangkok’s metro system, which makes it ideal for those takingĀ flights to Thailand.
