Bangkok is scheduled to host its annual guitar festival next month.

Travellers on flights to Bangkok could take in some new music during their trip by heading to the annual Guitar Fiesta.

Now in its second year, the event is set to take place on February 3rd to 5th in the Small Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre.

Hucky Eichelmann, artistic director of the Bangkok Guitar Fiesta, said the festival was set to welcome some of the most prestigious names from the guitar world this year.

Stars set to attend the event will include Vitaly Makukin from Ukraine and Frank Bungarten, who is known for being one of the foremost Bach guitarists in Germany.

“The heart of what we do is a drive to stimulate our audiences’ imagination to open up the possibilities of what a guitar can be,” Mr Eichelmann said.

Several events are set to take place in February which people on flights to Bangkok could enjoy, such as the Clutter Sale for Charity, which will see many items donated by VIPs and local celebrities on sale for charity.
