Hugh Jackman is set to return to Sydney to film the latest instalment of the X-Men franchise.

Hugh Jackman is set to spend time in Sydney soon as the actor is to film the latest instalment of the X-Men series in the city.

The Australian actor will be heading to the city again to work on the latest Wolverine film after the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine was shot there in 2008.

Jackman has spoken of his excitement of spending time in his home country again and is looking forward to him and his wife, the film director and producer Deborra-Lee Furness, being able to spend time with their family.

“It will be great to work with the highly talented crew and to provide employment opportunities to so many people across all levels of the industry,” Jackman said in a statement.

Many films have been shot in Sydney in recent times, with Australian director Baz Lurhman choosing to make his new adaptation of The Great Gatsby in the city.
