Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Garden is visited by six million people a year.

Holidaymakers visiting Perth in western Australia will find plenty to keep them entertained at the wonderful Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Visited by over six million people a year, the site is one of the most popular attractions in the region and hosts a serene park and bush land, as well as a fantastic botanic garden.

The garden, which has welcomed guests for more than 40 years, boasts approximately 3,000 different species of plant – about one quarter of all the plants that can be found in western Australia.

According to the parks authority that maintains it, the garden is ideal whether you’re hoping to enjoy a quiet picnic or just watch the sun set.

If you want a little more excitement on your holiday, there are a range of things to do for all the family in Kings Park.

Some of the highlights include climbing all 101 steps of the DNA Tower and visiting the Lotterywest Family Area, which has a great playground for the kids and free barbecues if you fancy enjoying a tasty lunch.
