Lady Gaga is set to play a string of dates in Australia as part of her forthcoming global tour.

People booking flights to Australia could be planning to pay a visit to one of the cities Lady Gaga is visiting on her forthcoming tour to see her perform live.

The char-topping superstar is set to play a number of dates around the country, with dates planned for the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on June 27th and 28th 2012.

Named the Born This Way Ball, the event will also see the most dedicated of Gaga fans offered the chance to meet the star, as those who have dressed to impress and waited many hours in front of the arena will be allowed entry to a special fan section of each concert.

The news of her performances came shortly after Madonna also announced she will be playing in the country during the summer.

Some people who take flights to Australia may plan to land at Melbourne Airport after it was named as the best terminal to travel from across the entire country in a survey of travellers.
