The newest hotel to open in the Victoria region could offer people taking a holiday in Melbourne “stunning views” of the city.

Travellers who have booked flights to Melbourne and are looking for somewhere to stay to make their holiday special may wish to consider the Centr@l Sky Lounge.

The apartment hotel is the newest venue to open to visitors in the region and offers guests “stunning views of the city from almost any room”.

Offering 152 apartment-style luxury studios and one-bedroom rooms, it is ideal for travellers whether they are taking a holiday in Australia or visiting Melbourne on business.

The hotel is located on top of a historic former coach terminal, facing the Queen Victoria Markets.

Sandra Swatton, Central Apartments and Hotels director of sales, said that the accommodation was “the perfect base from which to explore Australia’s ‘most liveable city’ – just 35 minutes from Tullamarine airport”.

Ms Swatton added that many entertainment and dining venues, as well as tourist attractions such as the Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens and Flagstaff Gardens, were within “easy walking distance”.

Those taking a holiday in Australia’s Victoria region may also be interested in visiting the Taste of Melbourne event during August.

Located in the Royal Exhibition Building, chefs from the top restaurants in the city will serve up samples of their culinary delights.
