Perth Fashion Week is set to take place for the first time next month and is already creating a buzz.

The first ever Perth Fashion Week is due to take place in the city next month and the excitement around the event is already starting to mount up.

Designer Ruth Tarvyda has explained to Yahoo! that she is looking forward to the event and has a few plans in place already to make it a memorable show.

Taking place from April 19-23 at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, it is the first time the city has hosted a full fashion week and complements the annual Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) that takes place each September.

“Perth needs to be supported and it’s going to be a fantastic show. PFF was wonderful, absolutely wonderful and it’s a great showcase but it is the international calendar at this stage,” Ms Tarvtda told the news provider.

The final day of the fashion week on April 23rd will see the charity Fashion Hearts Gala Ball, with tickets for the event already on sale, with prices starting from AU$275 (£184).
