Lions heading to Australia in 2013

England are currently in South Africa getting a taste of southern hemisphere rugby, with the three-match series marking just under a year to go before the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia in 2013.

This current series will provide England players with a chance to put in an early shout for inclusion in the Lions squad, which will also be made up of players from Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

Given that the England team appears to have recovered from the shambles of the World Cup following a strong Six Nations showing, many of its players will be looking for inclusion in the team for the ten-match tour next year, which actually begins in Hong Kong against the Barbarians before moving down under.

Perth, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne will all be visited by the tourists who will play the mighty Wallabies three times between June 22nd and July 6th.

It’s sure to be a physical experience!
