Brits looking to soak up some sunshine should head to Thailand this winter, it has been claimed.

People hoping to cast their woolies aside and soak up some sunshine  this winter have been advised to book a flight to Thailand.

According to travel search site Skyscanner, the country is a top destination for Brits planning a break during January, February and March.

The website noted that Thailand has something to offer everyone, from backpackers to families and honeymooners.

“With countless beaches on the Gulf of Thailand offering deep blue lagoons, swaying palms and a price that won’t empty your wallet, Thailand is a solid choice for a snowless winter break,” it added.

Other places featured on Skyscanner’s list of top winter hotspots include Dubai, Bali, Egypt and Cape Verde.

Meanwhile, those booking flights to Thailand may wish to keep their eyes peeled for some celebrity holidaymakers.

Model Kate Moss is currently taking a break there with her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince.
