Thailand is posed to play host to an annual boat racing event.

Travellers on cheap flights to Thailand have the chance to take in one of the most exciting events on its sporting calendar with the annual long-tailed boat racing event.

Held each year in Nakornsawan, this year’s races will be held between September 30th and October 1st 2011, with an array of different teams taking part.

Setting off from in front of the town hall, the races will comprise of groups who have come from across the region to participate, through to local crews who are bound to be a hit with the crowd.

As well as watching the races, attendees could also learn more about the region and the event as there will be stands and exhibits set up to keep them entertained between races.

Taking cheap flights to Thailand could soon become more popular, after Conde Nast named the country as one of the world’s best destinations.
