Bangkok is readying itself to welcome Premier League runners-up Chelsea FC.

Premier League giants Chelsea FC are set to play against an all-star team from the Thai top division, in a game which people who have taken cheap flights to Bangkok can enjoy later this month.

World class players such as Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and Nicolas Anelka look set to line up for the London side, who finished second last season and recently unveiled young Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager.

The squad will take to the pitch at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium on July 24th, with the game kicking off at 17:45 local time.

It is part of the Blues’ Coca-Cola Super Cup tour of Asia, which also takes in matches in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.

Tickets for the Bangkok game start from 500 baht (£10.25).

Villas-Boas, who is just 33 years old, is addressing his team today (July 5th) for the first time since joining from Porto.
