Qatar Airways is all set to offer tickets on increased number of flights to Johannesburg in South Africa. The airline will now add three flights per week to its current seven flights per week frequency on the route with effect from May 1, 2014.

International flyers who are often found scrambling for tickets on flights to South Africa’s City of Gold, Johannesburg will very soon have more tickets options at their disposal made available to them by premium Gulf carrier, Qatar Airways.

Qatar’s state-owned flag carrier, Qatar Airways will increase its flights to Johannesburg in South Africa from seven flights per week to ten flights per week from May 1, 2014, revealed online sources.

The popular full services airline is expected to deploy its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on its routes to South Africa. The airline also plans to introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliner to offer tickets on all its routes to South Africa, including Cape Town and Johannesburg as well as Mozambique’s capital city, Maputo.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “In line with our commitment to offer our passengers more choice and the most exceptional travel experience, we are delighted to increase frequencies to South Africa and also to introduce Qatar Airways’ 787 Dreamliner on our routes to Johannesburg, Cape Town and Maputo.”

The airline will offer tickets for 254 seats across its Business and Economy Class on its route to South Africa. Passengers booking business class tickets aboard Qatar Airways’ flights can enjoy more spacious seats with widened seat pitch, 180 degrees flat beds as well as better in-flight entertainment. The better features in Business Class cabins will ensure that premium flyers booking air tickets to South Africa with Qatar Airways are a happy lot.

With the additional flights, the carrier will now offer tickets for more number of seats per week on its route to South Africa.

The Gulf carrier uses its Dreamliner aircraft to offer tickets on flights from Doha to Dubai, London, Munich, Stockholm, Riyadh, Jeddah, Zurich, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Oslo, Delhi, Bangalore and Brussels.

Based in Doha, Qatar Airways offers tickets on its extensive network of regional services in Asia and the Middle East together with international services to Australia, Europe, Africa and North America.
