The range of talented performers taking part in this year’s Cape Town jazz festival have been named.

The acts for next year’s Cape Town Jazz Festival have been confirmed, including Grammy award-winner and platinum gold-selling vocalist James Ingram from the US – famed for hits like Just Once and I Don’t Have The Heart.

People on flights to Cape Town will be able to see jazz saxophonist Dave Koz returning to the festival, as well as guitarist Mike Stern and drummer Dave Weckl, as well as South Africa’s Virtual Jazz Reality.

Festival director Rashid Lombard said everyone is “extremely excited about the variety of the line-up”, telling those getting off  flights to Cape Town and other audience members they can expect a “sensational mix of world-renowned icons and top quality rising stars”.

The event is due to take place on March 31st next year, with food villages and arts and crafts stalls set up. People can pick up a few souvenirs of the festival, such as posters, caps, T-shirts and CDs.
