Malaysian Airlines is set to open a new business and first class lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal 4.

Those booking flights for a holiday in Thailand or other destinations may wish to consider travelling with Malaysian Airlines.

According to the carrier, it has been named among the top three performing airlines in the last quarter by industry magazine Aviation Week.

Malaysia Airlines’ regional manager for the UK and Ireland Syed Abdillah Aziz noted that “there are exciting times ahead”, especially for those looking to book flights from Heathrow.

“The 29th October 2009, marks our move to Heathrow’s improved Terminal 4, where First and Business Class guests will have access to Malaysia Airlines’ new and luxurious Golden Lounges,” he explained.

Next year, the carrier also plans to increase its fleet with the addition of a new B737-800.

People taking a holiday in Thailand during September may wish to head to Kata Beach in Phuket to watch the annual surfing contest.

For those on dry land, a party ends the event.
