Lufthansa has been rewarded for its work on helping to improve customer service.

Travellers planning to take flights to Thailand with Lufthansa could be pleased to hear that they will be receiving award-winning service.

The company has been awarded the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) fast travel award for the quality of the service it provides to its passengers.

It introduced the initiative in order to reduce the amount of time passengers have to spend in the airport and moving from check in through to dropping off baggage and security checks.

Passengers have the choice of checking in online, which is now preferred by 60 per cent of people who travel with the company.

Lufthansa group chairman and chief executive officer Christoph Franz picked up the award from IATA director general Tony Tyler during this year’s annual board of governors meeting in Montreal.

People on flights to Thailand with Air France could also have a wonderful experience, as the carrier has introduced a new menu to its long-haul journeys.
