Jet Airways, one of India’s leading international carriers, will boost its services between Kuwait and Mumbai. Apart from a daily it offers currently, the airline will introduce new flights to India, connecting Mumbai from Kuwait four times a week

One of India’s premier international airline, Jet Airways announced on Tuesday it is expanding its operations between Kuwait and Mumbai. The airline will start a second frequency four times a week to the India’s financial hub from Kuwait as part of its plans to increase air connectivity to the Gulf region.

With the commencement of this second flight service, effective June 8, 2012, Jet Airways will now be operating 11 flights to Mumbai from the Arab state. Apart from having multiplied alternatives for flights to India, the new service will also ensure that flyers enjoy seamless connectivity to the Far East and SAARC countries.

Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said: “Jet Airways has established itself as a prestigious brand on account of the warmth of its service and quality of its product. We are happy to introduce this second frequency four times a week from Kuwait to Mumbai and are confident that this new service will prove equally popular with our guests.

“The new flight will provide seamless connectivity to guests flying to our international hub in Mumbai, as well as onwards on Jet Airways’ South India domestic network and to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Dhaka, Kathmandu and Colombo,” he was further quoted in the airline’s press release.

The press release also specified the Boeing 737-800 will operate the new service between the two regions. Premiere and Economy travel class will be offered, keeping in mind the needs of both luxury seekers as well as budget travellers who prefer relatively cheap flight deals.

Flight 9W573 will take off from Kuwait at 0050 hrs local time (LT) on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and land at Mumbai airport at 0730 hrs (LT). For the return flight to Kuwait, Flight 9W 574 will depart Mumbai at 2220 hrs (LT) on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and arrive in Kuwait at 2350 hrs (LT).

Jet Airways already offers daily flight between the two destinations. And with this new service, Jet Airways will become the largest Indian carrier operating to Kuwait and with more flight options travellers have surely more chances of landing up with tickets on cheap flights to India from Kuwait.

Currently, Jet Airways runs 46 daily flights between India and the Middle Eastern region.
