In a bid to expand its global operations, IndiGo, a low cost Indian carrier, announced new services to Dubai and Bangkok from India. The airline will launch flights to India connecting Dubai to Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Delhi, and Bangkok to Delhi.

One of India’s fastest growing low cost carriers, Indigo has launched five new daily direct flights that will connect Dubai and Bangkok with Indian cities of Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Delhi. The airline’s new services are slated to start from August 2012.

The airline is all set to start three new, non-stop daily flights to India connecting Dubai to Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. Besides, the airline will also offer one additional daily direct cheap flight to Dubai from Delhi. Furthermore, the airline is also ready to start operating new flights on the DelhiBangkok sector.

“These new flights will be operational effective August and booking of these flights have opened from today,” a statement from the airline said.

IndiGo’s president Aditya Ghosh said, “Our endeavour to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers. We hope to provide the much needed avenue for countless Indians to explore wider horizons and at the same time open up the doors to more and more overseas travellers to experience India.”

He was also quoted as saying, “Dubai is a key market for us and expanding operations in this market is in line with our growth strategy outlined for the Middle Eastern skies.”

IndiGo plans to roll out introductory return fare deals for all these new flights. The reasonably low priced airfares are sure to lure budget leisure travellers planning holiday breaks or corporate travellers planning business tours to India.

Airline’s statement said, “Passengers who wish to fly to India can plan their travel in advance by booking tickets through IndiGo’s official website.”

The statement also revealed that, “These flights from Dubai will fly out from Dubai International Airport, with convenient and hassle-free flying options.”

The airline launched its international operations in September 2011 and is expected to expand its network further across the globe.

Recently, Indigo also announced its cheap flights to India connecting Delhi to Muscat, Kathmandu, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok, and Mumbai to Bangkok and Dubai.
