IndiGo is all set to operate new daily direct flights to India connecting Chennai and Kochi to Dubai from August 25, 2012. The new flights will add to the choices of British travellers who book holidays to Kochi, Kerala in high numbers.

Holidaymakers from UK and rest of Europe seeking cheap flights to India connecting at Dubai seem to have added airline options available to them.

India’s popular low cost carrier, IndiGo has announced introduction of new and non-stop flights connecting Kochi and Chennai, two highly popular destinations in South India, with Dubai. The flights are scheduled to operate from August 25, revealed online sources.

Following a recent approval by Indian authorities, airlines in India, including the low cost domestic carriers, will now be able to operate flights to a multitude of global destinations.

With more Indian budget carriers on global routes, travellers taking onward connection to India or beyond will be able to save considerably. However, for the time being, those making connections in the Middle East seem to have the maximum options available to them.

SpiceJet and GoAir, two other LCC from India were recently in news with their plans to launch budget flights connecting Indian destinations with international cities.

IndiGo had in the recent past started to operate its second daily and non-stop flights connecting India’s capital city of Delhi to Dubai and Bangkok. In addition, the airline also recently launched flights connecting Hyderabad and Dubai.

Besides its newly announced flights, the airline also plans to launch direct flights to India connecting Kochi to Muscat and Trivandrum to Dubai.

Kerala in India is one of the most popular destinations among Britons and Kochi particularly shows on the itinerary of most Britons taking flights to this beautiful South Indian state.
